Visiting the Kern River

This summer I took the time to explore the city I have lived at for 6 years. In the 6 years that I have lived in Bakersfield I never took the time to explore the naturist parts it had to offer. I was not disappointed when I saw the beautiful Kern River running ferociously through the mountains. It reminded me how powerful and beautiful mother nature is.
I snapped a couple pictures but they do not do it justice. If you have the time, I would encourage anyone close to Kern County to visit. It is such a beautiful sight to see. I took the exit on 99 North to Rosedale HWY and made a right. I took it straight until the freeway ended and went into the mountains as if you are headed to Lake Isabella. It is only 20-30 minutes from Bakersfield depending where you are coming from.
Snap a couple pictures and tag or send them to me on my social medias below. I would love to hear about your experience and the photos you snapped.
Happy exploring !
This photo was taken about 20 minutes up the Sequoia National Forest from Kern County.

This picture was taken as you enter the Sequoia National Forest.

In these two shots you can see how fast the water is flowing in the Kern River.

All these pictures were taken June 26, 2017 by Jessica Melendrez on a Cannon EOS Rebel SL1. unedited.
